SIMPLE IRA

A retirement plan built for small employers — the kind with a handful of staff, where no 401(k) exists. It works like a lighter workplace plan: money comes out of your paycheck, and your employer is required to add some (a match of up to 3% of pay, or 2% for everyone). The 2026 limit is $17,000, with a $4,000 catch-up at 50+ and $5,250 at ages 60–63.

For your first $100: If your small employer offers one, it is your match door — everything the sequencer says about taking a full match applies here, at this plan's own numbers.
